Zero Mella MD has been sharing his adventures and knowledge throughout the internet since 2009.
My mission is to provide patients with an alternative to a life-long reliance on medications.
I have successfully weaned off a lot of my patients from maintenance medications, but the process is hard. I work closely with their specialists and follow-up with lab results regularly.
The idea is to get through the journey with proper diet, exercise, and stress management. Changes take time but small as they may be, they become habits. And that's the key to a lifestyle change.
I definitely didn't get here overnight though.
I've been caring for the poorest of the poor in Olongapo City as a rural health physician. Through my work, I've developed my practice and techniques, often with limited resources. With each follow-up, I emphasize the importance of at least one lifestyle change. Gradually, my patients began to see the value of investing in their health, even with their limited means.
The results were remarkable. Sick consultations decreased by more than 90% since I started my practice 18 years ago. Patients began enjoying normal lab results during follow-ups, thanks to the free blood chemistries provided as part of a government expenditure.
So, I offer my services to those who are willing to listen. I cannot force the correct way of doing things on those who are enamored with fanfare and hype. Over the years, I've seen the social media medical landscape evolve. It's encouraging to see a few standouts, but disheartening to see many spreading misleading medical information.
Patients sometimes contradict me, citing these influencers, only to realize later that I was right. Sadly, by then, they are often already sick, some with irreversible conditions.
As the old saying among doctors goes, it's not my job to take hope away from the patient. It's my job to ensure that the art and science of medicine are properly tailored to their situation.
My journey in medicine has always been about making a real difference in people's lives.
I believe in the power of lifestyle changes to transform health and reduce dependence on medication. Through my courses and resources, I aim to share this knowledge with a broader audience, helping more people lead healthier, happier lives.
Thank you for visiting my page. I hope you find the information and resources here helpful and inspiring on your own journey to better health.
